Reiki is an ancient Japanese energy healing technique that works holistically to target the mind, body and spirit. The objective of reiki is to reduce stress and pain while clearing emotional blockages and promoting healing from within.

Reiki treatments consist of the practitioner acting as a conduit and allowing life force energy to flow through the client by lightly laying hands in various positions on the body.

Reiki Evidence:
A 2017 review by Dr. David E McManus in the Journal of Evidence-Based Complementary Medicine, cites Reiki as ‘better than placebo and has broad potential as a complementary health therapy’.

More from this study: “From the information currently available, Reiki is a safe and gentle “complementary” therapy that activates the parasympathetic nervous system to heal body and mind. It has the potential for broader use in the management of chronic health conditions, and possibly in postoperative recovery”.
