Acupuncture And
Chinese Medicine
Acupuncture involves the insertion of small needles along traditional Chinese medicine meridians to improve health. In combination with botanicals, diet and lifestyle modifications, our Naturopathic Doctors implement acupuncture into protocols for pain, sleep, stress, digestion, fertility, and pregnancy
Traditional Chinese Medicine is a style of traditional medicine that has been practiced for thousands of years. The philosophy is rooted in the concept of Qi (which can be translated to energy or circulating life force). Qi (or energy) flows through the meridians of your body and when blockages or imbalances exist, illness or symptoms can occur. In order to keep Qi in balance our Naturopathic Doctors use botanicals, acupuncture and diet and lifestyle modifications. Acupuncture involves the use of thin, small needles inserted into the body along meridians to manipulate the flow of Qi.

Electro-Stimulation Acupuncture involves the use of acupuncture needles and an electro-stimulation machine. The target of this form of acupuncture is towards the physical muscles and nerves. By stimulating the various muscles with a low frequency, the treatment can reduce pain, release endorphins and improve the functioning of the nerves.

Facial rejuvenation acupuncture, also known as cosmetic acupuncture, is a non-surgical method of reducing the signs of aging. This form of acupuncture can also be used in those experiencing concerns with acne and TMJ concerns. Needles inserted into points on the face and body help stimulate energy and blood flow to the face, relax and tonify the facial muscles and improve skin tone and collagen production.
